I use pre-installed brushes/templates of people so I can just draw over with my style and not think too deep about poses and anatomy.
I also create small stories for each while sketching so I'd be mentally and creatively engaged.

I think one of the most important things you can do with art is be 'selfish' and do it for yourself first, preserve your own enjoyment of it before anything else
