Weather Time Machine: High temperatures Tuesday were still in the 70s and even the low 80s, some 10-20F above normal. But, do you remember October 2009?! Several low temperature records were set on October 9 & 10 of that year. Here's a quick look back at that cold stretch. #wywx

Another warm and dry day today with highs generally in the 70s. Smoke from local fires continues to bring hazy conditions. A weak cold front Thursday won't do much other than slightly cooler temps for far northern WY. #wywx

This "Fall/Autumn" has been unusually warm, but how does it compare to climatology? One way we can determine this is by looking at the last 80 F degree day. As you can see on this graphic the latest 80 F degree day is actually in late October for most locations. #wywx #climate

Still no end in sight for the very warm autumn 2024. Temperatures will be a bit lower than next couple days due to a cold front, but will still reach the 70s. #wywx

🏜️The dry weather is here to stay through the weekend and into early next week. There is some hope that October 17-19 may bring a chance(?) of precipitation. Here's a look at the last time the primary climate stations recorded one-tenth (0.10) of an inch of rainfall. #wywx

🌺🥶Though above normal temperatures continue through the middle of next week, confidence is increasing in a weather system bringing much cooler temperatures for the end of next week. For those with outdoor plants, be aware of these coming temperatures. #wywx
