A fast CME erupted from the Sun the evening of 8 Oct and is likely to arrive at Earth on 10 Oct. This CME has been analyzed and there is potential to reach G4 levels upon arrival and throughout CME passage. Visit swpc.noaa.gov/news/g4-severe… for the full story.

This "Fall/Autumn" has been unusually warm, but how does it compare to climatology? One way we can determine this is by looking at the last 80 F degree day. As you can see on this graphic the latest 80 F degree day is actually in late October for most locations. #wywx #climate

🏜️The dry weather is here to stay through the weekend and into early next week. There is some hope that October 17-19 may bring a chance(?) of precipitation. Here's a look at the last time the primary climate stations recorded one-tenth (0.10) of an inch of rainfall. #wywx
