Drought conditions continue for much of the Mid-Atlantic, even worsening in some areas despite recent rainfall. Past rainfall was beneficial, but does not completely alleviate drought conditions. Future rainfall up to 1” is expected early next week.

Mild conditions will continue into the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds. Rain returns by Sunday with up to 0.5-1" likely. Despite the beneficial rain expected this weekend, dry to #drought conditions will likely persist.

Bands of lake-effect rain will fall downwind of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Some of this rain will reach into the headwaters of the Susquehanna and Delaware. Otherwise it will be dry across much of the region for the rest of the week. Rivers will remain steady or slowly fall.
