Here is the monthly climate for the five climate sites across northern and central Nevada. Almost all sites saw warmer than normal conditions except for Winnemucca airport. All sites reported drier than normal for the month of August. #nvwx

There is an elevated risk of wildfires in Central Elko and Northern Eureka Counties from 12 PM this afternoon until 7 PM this evening. The combination of dry fuels, low relative humidity values, and gusty southwest to west winds can contribute to extreme fire behavior. #NVwx
