In a cemetery in my hometown, Nuneaton, I noticed an inscription to an RAMC soldier who’s buried in Belgium. Last year, when visiting Ypres, I found his resting place. Remembering Lance Sergeant Edgar Pallett. 📍Nuneaton (Oaston Road) Cemetery 🇬🇧 📍Hop Store Cemetery 🇧🇪

Mary Ann Evans (1819 – 1880), known by her pen name George Eliot, was an English novelist, poet, journalist, and one of the leading writers of the Victorian era. On the left is her cenotaph at Westminster Abbey. Her grave is at London’s Highgate Cemetery. I visited both in 2023.
