Some advice to students of scared knowledge: use flash cards. After you study a definition in any science write it 20 times in a note pad then put it on a flash card. Have a set time to review your flash cards. I personally use this method for Mustalah al-hadith.

Just because a scholar may not be on youtube or social media doesn't mean he's less qualified than other scholars. A lot of times these shuyukh without any of those things are a lot more qualified and will tell you "do not record me" out of fear of ostentation.
