New BioPsy papers were published lately too. Interesting new research from a former student Pedro and colleagues: we've found that the way our brain ages is linked to how our blood ages and environmental factors play an important role in this process. doi.org/10.1093/brain/…

A small step towards understanding the biology of wellbeing! 🧬In our latest study, team wellbeing looked at blood metabolites and found hints that lipid metabolism might play a role in how we feel. Lots more to explore, but an interesting lead. nature.com/articles/s4159…

Our new study in molecularpsychiatry, in 1528 children and their parents (Netherlands Twin Register ) shows that indirect genetic effects—where parental genetics shape offspring traits via environmental influences (genetic nurture)—impact DNA methylation of children. doi.org/10.1038/s41380… (1/5)
