Great day at Pitsea Tip yesterday - 178 birds caught including a Russian ringed Great Black-backed Gull. Then today a sighting of A0AT from July in the Bartents sea north of Kanin peninsula, Russia. This is the furthest Great Black-back into Russia!!

A decent roost this evening at Little Marlow GP. It included Black-headed Gull "Yellow 2KRC" which has been a regular winter visitor here since Feb 2016. It was ringed at Pitsea landfill as an adult in March 2015

12 Grey Herons kicked off our colour ringing project at Netherhall on Saturday. Thanks to the team for a slick operation in good weather.

Brent Goose Green AX has reached Germany and was present between 17th and 27th April at Langenwerder in Germany. Last seen at Blue House Farm in February great to see it is on the way to the breeding grounds and good to get a length of time for stop over in Germany.
