The first graduates of the province’s new continuing care assistant (CCA) training program have joined Nova Scotia’s healthcare workforce. Seventeen students recently completed the six-month program. More information about the pilot program is available at shannex.com/cca-program/

Last week, Premier Houston joined local officials in Plymouth to break ground on a new long-term care home to replace Valley View Villa. When it opens, the new home will have 144 single rooms. They are part of the 5,700 long-term care spaces being added and replaced by 2032.

Today, Minister Adams joined Jason and Joseph Shannon, residents, staff & others at the opening of Moody Hall, a new long-term care home in Bedford. This modern, new home is the fourth of more than 50 new & replacement homes being built across Nova Scotia by 2032 to open.
