Salvy should be a slam dunk induction. The fact people can claim to watch baseball and even DEBATE this is insane. And yes, totally agree, the framing metrics are overrated.

If Ozzie Smith is in the HOF, and if Yadi Molina gets into the HOF, how do you not also put both Andruw Jones and Keith Hernandez into the HOF?

I love this stuff folks. First of all, look at the names on this list. Pitching royalty. The game's most durable arms. Second of all, note that everyone here achieved their feat consecutively except Tommy John, whose career was famously bifurcated by his namesake elbow surgery.

There are a few players in the HOF because they are the greatest defenders of all time at their respective positions: • Bill Mazeroski 4 • Brooks Robinson 5 • Ozzie Smith 6 Why not Andruw Jones, who is that AND hit 434 HR? Why not Keith Hernandez, who is that AND hit .296?

Keith had 11 Gold Gloves, an MVP, a batting title, and two World Series rings. He was a doubles machine, batted .296 lifetime, and retired with more walks than strikeouts. The ONLY knock against him is that he was a first baseman that didn’t profile like a true power hitter.

Who throws AARON JUDGE a middle-middle pitch in a 2-0 count with the bases loaded? You trying to have the ball land in the Hudson River?

Only 170 MLB players (out of more than 23,000) have ever hit at least 292 HR in their careers. Sammy Sosa did that during a five-year span from 1998-2002.
