I'm not saying ditch full rooted jailbreaks for rootless. Not by a longshot. Can you do more in a full rooted jailbreak? Yep. It's easier to do more too. There are only a few things that you cannot do in a rootless but can in rooted. For some this is a dealbreaker. Thats fine.

BTW . I fixed my fork of rootlessJB3. sftp really works this time... I've installed/uninstalled it a few times over and it works (on my device :) ) let me know if you have any issues. BTW v3ntex is hardcoded for ipad mini 4 until jake releases his offsetfinder.

If you liked vfs success rate, you’re gonna love v3ntex success rate at least on the iPad mini 4 (iPad5,1) and iPad Air 2 (iPad5,<cantremember>). Tinkering with it on my mini 4 tonight..

Just increased v3ntex success rate to 15/15 success attempts with a single change. When I get to 20/20 success I'll consider it a real fix.

0x1000 - panics all the time. 0x4000 - 20/20 success.

To get upwards of 20/20 success with v3ntex (using Jake James  improvements) on an iPad mini 4 (iPad5,1), set the DATA_PAGE_SIZE to 0x4000 instead of the original 0x1000. I suspect this will work for devices that return fake values for _host_page_size()

Check out github.com/semaphore/v3nt… with your 4k device. Especially if you have an iPhone 6, iPad Mini 4, or iPad Air 2. You should see a marked improvement in success rate.

For clarification. The fix I'm talking about for v3ntex is that the define: DATA_PAGE_SIZE must be set to the value returned by host_page_size (or _host_page_size) doesn't matter. iPad Mini 4 reports 0x4000 (but is really 0x1000) but the DATA_PAGE_SIZE must be 0x4000 for v3ntex
