30th October: Remembering the victims of terror and political repression in the Soviet Union, monument in Levashovo to citizens of 🇳🇴 origin: “Never afraid of the power of darkness. The stars will shine.”

With European colleagues at St. Petersburg’s Piskarevskoe Memorial Cemetery to commemorate 8 May. Together we continue to honor the victims of the Siege of Leningrad, in a war of liberation which for all its tragedy was both defensive and just.

Deeply saddened by the news of the death in prison by Alexei Navalny. The Russian Government bears a heavy responsibility.

Today’s funeral: Consuls General of 🇳🇴🇩🇪🇵🇱 at 14:00 added our flowers to those already placed by ordinary citizens at the Solovetsky stone, a monument to all prison camp victims of the past. PLinPetersburg
