Team Titans (Gray) took home the championship in the NGMS Lexia March Madness games. Basketball players from Garner HS & South Garner HS came to serve as coaches & referees for the event. Congrats to all participants & all students who qualified for the Lexia celebration. 🏀

Thank you to the Optimist Club of Garner for their Bring Up Your Grade (BUG) program & making special trips to celebrate students who have improved their academic performance. So many students made tremendous growth from Quarter 2 to Quarter 3. Keep up the great work Trojans!

8th graders excitedly attended a presentation by the Piedmont Wildlife Center. Students got to see & learn about box turtles, corn snakes, red-tailed hawks, barred owls, & opossums. The program was designed to support student learning about Populations & Ecosystems. 🐢🐍🦉

In honor of the great Maryn O’Neill, Ms. HL presented the 2nd annual Heart of the Team award to Ms. Miller. Ms. Miller was nominated by her peers for always demonstrating kindness and joy just as Maryn always did. Congrats, Ms. Miller! Thanks for displaying amazing team spirit!

Students in Ms. HL’s science class have been reviewing mean, median and mode for the upcoming 6th grade math EOG. Students collected data points of a standing long jump then calculated their jumps on planets with different gravitational pulls.
