This funding bill is a disservice to New Mexico, with billions of dollars on the line that will only serve to expand Elon Musk and President Trump’s unchecked power. Read my full statement with Martin Heinrich below:

House Republicans’ funding bill—which they passed on Tuesday before leaving town in an attempt to force the Senate to vote for it—is terrible for a lot of reasons, including damaging our national security. I oppose its passage. x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

Let me repeat: Senate Democrats should NOT be voting to move forward with the harmful Musk-Trump funding bill. Democrats should hold the line and press for a bill that funds the essential services that people need. Do not give up your leverage. The people are counting on you.

Trump & Musk are decimating basic gov’t services while driving up costs for everyday Americans. Trump wants to keep flouting the Constitution. I’m a hard no on cloture & strongly oppose the GOP’s partisan, cynical shutdown ploy.

Our President and Republicans are developing policies that disproportionately hurt Blue States, a number of which pay disproportionately higher taxes. Thank God Blue States haven't staged a modern day Tea Party. I want my country back.

I miss Twitter. There's a night and day difference between what I see on my feed now and what I saw before the hostile takeover. I didn't see posts from folks I didn't follow. The owners didn't push their own viewpoints and the discourse was civil. Now we have civil unrest Sad

I don't see the good stuff happening in the community on my feed anymore. Regular folks are disengaging or leaving to join friendlier platforms. I miss Twitter.

I am very sad to see USAID go. They had great capacity building tools that not only helped developing countries, but developing communities here in the United States. I used the assessments and other development guides and best practices in my courses to create common ground.
