Apparently there is beef between two larger Canadian fintwit accounts Canadian Dividend Investing & Nugget Capital Partners (NCP). I just find it funny that they each went long $TAP around the same time. Each should have a cool 🍺 and get over it.

$DRM.TO increasing the amount of capital returned to shareholders, saying they will be more active on buybacks in 2026 & increasing the dividend by 7.7%. With $DRM.TO collecting all the fees & hogging all the capital, can't help but feel like this is the DREAM entity to own.

$mty.to undergoing strategic review while trading at 7.5x EPS/FCF on flat sales and decreasing capex. $FFH.to could buy it at 40% premium at 10.5x + synergy with Recipe + kick up the leverage to get to 15% ROE. As a holder of both cos, I would be OK with that.

Chris in Canada 🍁 By my own calculations, if valuing their non Toronto spaces at $50/sqft, and their TO spaces at the below $/sqft, $d.un is worth: TO $450/sqft => $D.un=$15.50/unit $500/sqft => $23.22/unit $550/sqft => $30.98/unit $600/sqft => $38.74/unit

$mi.un Minto Apartments REIT going private at $18/unit. Deal closing h2 2026. Now trading back in the $17.40s. Holding to deal close gets you the 60 cent spread + 20-30 cents of distributions. Works out to a 9-10% annualized yield. If you like collecting nickels and dimes.

, yield on cost is an example of endowment bias. Hearing about others' YoC is annoying as hell. (So, Canadian Dividend Investing just there clickbaiting/aura farming.) Yet, I feel all fuzzy about my own stocks that have high YoC. Does it help investing performance? I guess YMMV.

GlobeMail story about ETF CEO taking money directly out of investors' funds. Now says she "intends" to repay. These stories of greed, (alleged) unethical behaviour and fall from grace will never get old for me. theglobeandmail.com/business/artic…

$BEI.UN Boardwalk REIT's Q4 presentation states their current trading price implies valuation at $200,000 per door. Their announced YTD sales have been made at... $191,000 per door.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️ That being said, the 5.1% exit cap rate on the sales is pretty bullish Canadian multifamily.

Subscribed to Crave Premium and fired it up on the new home theatre. Both the HD & 4K content look trash like I'm wearing beer googles (and not the ones Bart tried). How does WB agree to license their gorgeous HBO shows to Bell $BCE.to knowing the image quality is so bad. 🤮😵
