LOL the spin on this tweet vs the story. Sheriff is seeking 2.45% increase in base hourly rate - retroactive through last July - for contract cities. This after a 1.63% hike the year before.

For those at private institutions: You can request records from *all* publicly funded agencies (including law enforcement and local government) to see what conversations have been happening between them and a private university through official channels including email and text.

We now have a second death reported in a Riverside County jail for 2024, 3 days after the first.

Reynaldo Ramos of Riverside found unresponsive in a cell at the Robert Presley Detention Center the night of April 16.

Ramos had been arrested April 6, 2024. He was to appear in court the morning of April 19 - tomorrow. He was 55 years old.
