Postcard, Lee Circle from Curt Teich Publishing, 1920s. It shows the statue of the traitor and human trafficker Robert E. Lee, on its white marble column. Since this scene pre-dates the Pontchartrain Expressway (US-90B), the view around what is now Harmony Circle is unobstructed.

The long-standing tradition was that "Christmas" sales didn't begin until the day after Thanksgiving. Anything before then was a "Pre-Christmas" sale, like this one at Krauss on 10-November-1980.
