it's a great shame that an award for writers of Caribbean or African descent is restricted by age when cultural exclusion because of race so often slows writers in their careers meaning they emerge later

this is a call for 'young creative artists who are at the start of their careers'

not all creatives start young

young emerging creatives shouldn't be under this pressure

older emergine creatives shouldn't be excluded

Hay Festival pls find another way of framing this call

a real shame this isn't open to emerging photographers of any age

people miss that under-25 window for so many reasons beyond their control

Bit of positive news noentry I'm starting rehearsals of a new play today being performed at the end of April and both female parts are for ladies in their 50s. Nice to see and hope this continues
