I haven't been very active here, but I'm busy working on a really cool game. I'm looking for a generalist programmer to work closely with me in a small team. C(mostly)/C++(blargh) codebase. Remote, full-time contract for about 18 months. PM me if interested (RTs appreciated).

Just woke up on the Slipways open beta day! According to my calculations, I have... 5.48 hours left to worry about everything and be a nervous ball of gamedev!😅

Master of Orion is one of my favorite-ever games. Slipways captures some of that spirit and I'm helping fund it. Give it a try!

We're almost done packing! These last 5 years have been an unforgettable experience (marred by Covid unfortunately). Next week we're moving back to the US, to one of our favorite places: Western Massachusetts. We'll still come back to Spain for summers and the occasional Xmas.

It looks like my Intel MacBook Pro GPU died after a year and a half. This has been happening repeatedly over the last 15 years. I think I'm done with Apple laptops. Any recommendations for a good Windows laptop as primary dev system? 16" or smaller and have decent resolution.

It's finally out!!

One real cost of piracy I hadn't considered: I'm busting my ass tracking down crash bugs and some of them make no sense (missing files!). Eventually I realize those are cracked and modified copies of the game. They wasted my time and prevented me from fixing other legit crashes.
