I was a student during COVID and was in and out of the homes of families wanting to support them often forgetting the risks to my family. This is very offensive.

We have such a long way to go in social work and our use of language. Today a father raping his daughter and getting her pregnant three times and then taking her for an abortion was described as ‘a threesome’ and ‘a three way relationship with Mum.’ Disgusted.

So, I’ve been contacted by a professional. They have concerns with a survivor of abuse as they have a minor criminal record and are now working in the industry speaking about their trauma. They feel they shouldn’t be because of their criminal record. Many of us do including me.
