Shelter Update 4/6: We are resuming adoptions and the foster program. NNHS is now accepting online applications only. Animals will be shown by appointment, following submission and review of application. Call 660-562-3333 or send Facebook message to arrange admissions (intake).

Kitten season has begun! Ursula gave birth to 6 kittens over night.

The first of what we hope are many! Today these pups earned their retirement from a breeding kennel. A new life awaits ❤️

Today, we freed seven souls from the puppy mill industry. Rescue starts with a fresh haircut and a warm bath.

Today is #MakeADogsDay! Here are our five longest dog residents. Each waiting to be given the chance to be your new best friend. Post a photo of your Underdog or Shelter dog and help spread the word that shelter dogs are the best!
