I'm incredibly proud of the new Punch Brothers record, "Hell on Church Street", released Friday. The pandemic forced the longest hiatus we've experienced in 16 years, & this record is a snapshot of the joy & relief of reuniting & making music with the closest of friends...(1/2)

It felt right & proper for this gathering to be centered around the music & ethos of our hero, Tony Rice. What resulted is a full Punch reimagining of Tony Rice's masterpiece, "Church Street Blues" from start to finish. Stream _both_ online. Vinyl: kf-merch.com/collections/pu… (2/2)

I'm looking forward to being a special guest at the 2022 Banjo Summit, taking place virtually Feb 11-13. They've gathered an amazing group of players and teachers this year, you can learn more at BanjoSummit.org

He is, unfortunately, probably right. This is how Russia will "de-Nazify" Ukraine: by killing the country's first Jewish president.

NEW SHOWS! Noam Pikelny, andrew marlin, Chris Eldridge & Greg Garrison, aka, Mighty Poplar will be on the road this fall! There was widespread outrage that our fast approaching May tour neglected a significant part of the country, so we've added dates to help quell the unrest

Punch Brothers were born and raised at/by the Telluride Bluegrass Festival so we can’t imagine a better way to bring 18 glorious years with Gabe in for a landing than Sunday’s sets. Gabbers, we love you forever. This band wouldn’t have come to be without you. 📸: Jay Strausser

One of the reasons I truly love the banjo is because it harkens back to much simpler times, when all you needed to make music was a set of picks, a candle or two, 120 volts of electricity & a cathode biased tube amplifier with racing stripes.  1938 Gibson ERB-150 Electric Banjo

The playability is a bit rough, they’re nearly impossible to fit in a vehicle, & the rustling of leaves while tuning is a bit distracting. But all in all, it’s really worth having the extra shade on stage under the blinding arena lights. Mighty Poplar fall tour starts next week!
