Tomorrow 3/21 March and Vigil in El Paso, TX: “This vigil will serve as a powerful reminder that our community remains united in our defense of the rights and dignity of vulnerable migrants, humanitarian workers & volunteers" - Dylan C. The Hope Border Institute #DoNotBeAfraid #HumanDignity

Thank you Vera Institute of Justice and North Pine Alliance for delivering this letter to Congress. We joined in urging leaders to help safeguard the due process rights of people in removal proceedings by providing access to legal representation. #humanrights4all #migrantrightsarehumanrights

"We don’t want to see legalization in exchange for increased border militarization or more immigrant detention or deportation." Detention Watch Network (DWN) truthout.org/articles/we-ca…

We applaud the introduction of the "Chance to Come Home" resolution by Reps. Cleaver (D-MO), Espaillat (D-NY) & Trone (D-MD), along with Sen. Booker (D-NJ) & backed by National Immigrant Justice Center . Family separation policies impose irreparable injustices and harms on families.newsweek.com/lawmakers-anno…

Recommend reading Immigrant Legal Resource Center toolkit on expanded expedited removal. "Immigration officers usually do not tell someone that they are being placed in the expedited removal process, so it can be difficult to know for sure" Has sections on when to stay silent vs not if stopped by ICE

It is important to keep talking and learning about enforced disappearances in the context of migration. Thank you National Network for organizing this workshop.
