When the Voluntary Euthanasia society rebranded to become Dignity in Dying they said it was to campaign for all end of life care. No evidence of doing that twenty years later. They say there’s nothing to stop palliative care improving. The Bill is a massive incentive not to.

Further thought on this. The sort of people in the lobby, or sitting in parliaments, who ask this kind of question about people with a Twitter account, a phone and a brain, could do a great public service by asking it much more often about the familiar NGOs who court them.

Why are Downs Syndrome groups retweeting this powerful speech? Because Kim's Bill allows ANY doctor, with no training, to raise ending a terminally ill patient's life even with someone with learning disabilities and capacity is presumed. Family are completely excluded.
