Republicans and Democrats may disagree on who should lead the country, but surely we can agree on this: it shouldn’t be the AI titans who imagine themselves to be God and answer to no one but themselves. thelettersfromleo.com/p/tech-billion…

Why do Republicans bash SNAP recipients but won’t bash the corporations that make hundreds of billions in profits but pay slave wages? Why do we have to supplement SNAP for tens of thousands of WalMart employees when they are making hundreds of billions per year?

Harold Ford Jr. just said the quiet part on Fox News, Trump’s tariff rollback is “an admission that tariffs were a price increase.” Years of MAGA spin undone in one sentence.

1. Raise tariff 2. Collect bribes 3. Reduce tariff It's really that simple. The challenge with describing the economic strategy of the Trump admin is that it's not an "economic" "strategy," it's a "create pain -> collect payoff" mafia formula run over and over again, and admin

Per Reuters: China's CCTV says preps have begun to launch Shenzhou-22 empty to replace the space-debris damaged SZ-20 capsule that's still attached to the Tiangong space station. The SZ-20 crew came home in SZ-21's capsule. SZ-21 crew still aboard; need lifeboat + safe ride home.

The logic is that tariffs create uncertainty which undermines spending, slowing the economy. This recessionary force offsets tariff-driven cost-push inflation. Tariffs flatten the economy enough to flatten the inflation they cause is not the win the White House thinks it is.

It's a revealing moment... J.D. Vance welcomes a two-legged robot helping on the job site. But if that helper is a person named Jose, he calls it a threat. Same tasks, same productivity boost. The inconsistency reveals this isn’t about economics.
