Today Governor Phil Murphy spoke to students at Hoboken High School, reiterating his support of legislation, S3240/A4369, that would enable 16 and 17-year-olds to vote in their local school board elections. Nate and Breanna helped make this a reality in Newark in January.
Thank you to Governor Phil Murphy, Senator Raj Mukherji, and Assemblywoman Cleopatra Tucker for standing with us and our powerful members New Jersey Institute for Social Justice, ACLU of New Jersey, and Make the Road New Jersey 🦋 in supporting S3420/A4369, which expands school board elections voting to include 16- and 17-year-olds. Students' voices deserve to be heard!
