When was the pass issued? When was it removed? Who authorised each decision? Was the Prime Minister aware? x.com/JackElsom/stat…

Women being killed is a feature, not a bug, of prostitution. If Labour is serious about its target to halve male violence against women & girls it must criminalise buying sex and the pimps & websites that profit from prostituting women. Today's column. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Official papers confirm Labour's plan to hide illegal immigrants in the welfare system, keeping the cost secret. The 44,000 migrants covered in the papers will cost up to £18 billion - but the true numbers will be even higher. My research is in today's story by Anna Mikhailova:

Rachel Reeves, less than three months ago: every Labour policy is “fully funded and fully costed – no ifs, no ands, no buts … no additional tax rises.” x.com/BBCPolitics/st…

I have no problem with ministers appointing officials directly. But if Labour are changing the conventions of civil service appointments they should be transparent. They can start with dropping the old-era policy of "not commenting on individual personnel matters".

Under the Tories, primary school children became the best readers in the West. And English secondary schools are: 11th in the world in maths, up from 27th under Labour 13th in science, up from 16th 13th in reading, up from 25th Must do better, Bridget! x.com/bphillipsonMP/…

I am backing Tom Tugendhat to become the next Conservative leader, because he has the leadership qualities to do the job, he has substance, and he understands why we need to change - right across the board. My column today: telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/09/0…

Strange that the PM wasn't against jumping the queue for sell-out events and didn't have this kind of populist moment when he attended sold-out Taylor Swift and Coldplay concerts, Premier League football matches and the Euros final.

Far from vindicating the government, this letter raises more serious questions for them. If civil servants signed off Estimates to parliament that they knew were false, it is a breach of the Civil Service Code irrespective of any decision by the last government to hold a Spending

Too wet?! Tom wants net immigration cut to 100,000. He countenances leaving the ECHR. He wants defence spending up to 3% of gdp. With IDS he’s the biggest hawk on China in parliament. He opposed Sunak’s tax rises. He has just slammed Lammy’s betrayal of Israel. He backs support

The Guardian seems to think this is a problem. The student promoted terrorism and was "full of pride" for the mass rape and murder of Jews. There is no right for foreigners to come to this country and behave as they please. x.com/guardiannews/s…
