This report so completely explains the impact of slavery & systemic racism & what we should do to make amends. New Jersey Citizen Action's Beverly Brown had the honor to serve on the Reparations Council, which informed this report, & we're proud to help move its recommendations forward!

New Jersey “As a child of immigrants, I know lack of language access is destructive. These barriers create confusion and erodes trust in government and by extension — our democracy.” Micauri Vargas on building systems that work for all, incl those in New Jersey Institute for Social Justice’s recent reparations report👀

Yesterday’s ruling allowing the supersession is a win for Paterson, whose Black and Brown residents deserve a police force that serves and protects them – not one that harms them. newjerseymonitor.com/2025/07/23/nj-…

352 survivors of SA. 158 years of failure. 8 years of broken promises. 2 task forces. 2 administrations. It’s time. New Jersey’s Youth Prisons are living on borrowed time and every day they remain open, this state remains complicit in the traumatizing of our youth.
