Comments are welcome from other pixel artists. I'll start. Megaman series is very anime influenced and I would recommend a higher contrast shading look instead of the dither. I personally think your dithering skills are good but misplaced. Background art would benefit from this

This version seems to be going about three times the speed but i can work with it. The first thing I noticed was that the character doesn't seem to have much weight to him. If you see in the example, number 2, is where most of the weight pushes him down so he can spring back up.

would love to see this character in front of a typical background of your game. To see if it pops enough to be readable Right now, it's a pretty noisy design with all the stuff on it. Anyone else wanna chime in?

i tried finding a tutorial for pixelling curly hair but i came up blank :/ gonna have to figure it out myself ig?? if anyone knows any characters with pixel sprites who have curly hair that i can study from pls let me know!

I went over this in another thread. Top really improve, don't rely on mirrored images. Push yourself to draw both sides manually. There is a shadow being cast but no hair highlight. Adding that will really sell the hair not being so flat. Here's a random example of various types.
