Starting with Day 1, with the Mobel Prize Exposition Lecture Series, we had Dr. Nishana Mayilaadumveetil Nishana M to talk about this year's Prize for Physiology or Medicine! It was the students' first interactive with her since she joined and we really loved it!

We welcome Dr. Amrutha Swaminathan as a new faculty member. Amrutha Swaminathan received her PhD from JNCASR Bangalore & was a post-doctoral fellow at Centre de recherche du CHUM and Weizmann Institute. Amrutha's research focuses on understanding the molecular drivers of behavior & neurodevelopmental disorders.

It was a fun-filled weekend as we met IISER Pune on 7-8 June, brainstorming various aspects of chromosome and chromatin biology. A much-anticipated get-together of colleagues from Kashim to Kerala.
