Check out this new preprint from Iain de Jonge-Anderson from our research group, on the structure and stratigraphy of the Malay Basin using 3D seismic data. A critical first step in evaluating the CO2 storage potential of the basin.

Taiwan was struck by its strongest earthquake in 25 years on Wednesday. Scenes of water cascading down the side of buildings and debris falling onto the streets below were captured. ⁣

The Chi-chi earthquake in Taiwan in 1999 produced a maximum displacement of 9.8 meters and a Mw of 7.6. It will be interesting to see how much displacement the recent #TaiwanEarthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 produced
