Pet lamb chaos on the house today. They’ve worked out how to escape the field and you can’t shake them!

It’s a madhouse but it’s ours.

First time seeing greenies displaying to each other today in Bushy park, lovely to watch! This pair had at least 2 fledged young tailing them and enjoying the ant nests. The Royal Parks London Bird Club #londonbirds

I’ve been wanting to do this for ages and finally got round to it! Super satisfying, and pretty!

First garden produce risotto of the year. Peas and beetroot and garlic and tiny carrots grown at home. Gorgeous.

Hayfield baled. Disastrous yield due to the drought. Last year was a record of 242 bales from the 31 acre field. This year it has produced 54 bales.

12 months ago I decided I needed to lose weight. Now two stones lighter and feel WAY better for it.

Bluetongue vaccine (BTV-3) Who has vaccinated? Is the vaccine actually effective? It’s a hefty cost per head and last I read they weren’t really advising it around here but I gather things are changing.

Where does a decade go? 10 years ago today I graduated my first degree and got to do silly hat day, one of my favourite photos of me and Phil.

Mate’s hen do today. Turns out I’m pretty decent at axe throwing. Shit at escape rooms though.

I’m not around on here much anymore. It’s not fun and the lovely farmy community isn’t here now but anyway, things are looking up a bit and tonight I cantered Missy in a stubble field, which is a huge milestone. A month ago I thought I’d never get her sound x

🧡 We’re doing lots of rehab and strength stuff. Walking in the sea, raised poles, hill work etc. There’s lots still to work on but you have to enjoy the process and have the odd night of fun instead!

Work in progress for myself. I have plenty of commissions but sometimes it’s nice to work for yourself!

This is why we’re allowed to blend on the canvas for initial layers in oil, especially on shiny, soft coated animals.
