Loved recording this podcast with Dan, Ryan and Matt of Still Parents Podcast, a brilliant team committed to validating and supporting dads bereaved by baby loss. We talked grief, antenatal testing, siblings, and why I wrote a book about it. And stick insects audioboom.com/posts/8519299-…

The first of our writing prompts. I’d play ‘Sweetest Gift’ by Sade as I used to play this on my way home after visiting Theo in ITU. It was winter and the moon was always shining. I would pray to the moon to protect him 🌕💙

There are many ways we might have held our baby. Perhaps held in our arms, held in the womb before they were born, or held in our thoughts. How would you describe that feeling? You could write about physical sensations, thoughts or feelings. Try a list, or a poem, or just notes.

An absolute pleasure to chat to Held In Our Hearts - just as they got an award for the best decorated stall. I was delighted to hear what a difference the Scottish Government funding has made to the work they do in the Highlands ❤️

We think Sarah is great too - she completed a triathlon to raise funds for our small charity a year after donating a kidney to a stranger. If you have any questions about living donation visit Make Your Mark website, they'll be able to support you. #kidneydonation

6 years today since I was admitted with kidney failure. Thanks to NHS Lothian, my kidneys are now at 30% function. I continued to work and this has meant thousands of families have been supported after their baby dies. I love this thought and thinking about ripples of care 💓
