What if cut missions, weapons, characters and storyline elements were reintegrated along with more contemporary core mechanics that improve gameplay while remaining faithful to the original?

Honestly not really looking forward to playing CE yet again. So a part of me is desperately hoping and optimistic it turns out to be something else. Dont want them mutilating yet another form of Halo like they did with the TV show. Wouldn't put it past them.
