Catering Chef Supervisor, Andy Berry and Retail Catering Assistant, Joseph Joseph, have won the NHS Chef of the Year Midlands heat and will now compete in the national final. Retail Catering Facilities Manager, Nick Lee, said: “The whole team are very proud of Andy and Joseph.”

Our Retail Catering team have set up a new project to grow their own cress for use in the restaurant at Leicester General. Senior Team Leader, Andy Berry, said: “Cress is not just for salads, it’s incredibly versatile, with a vibrant flavour and is 100 per cent good for you.”

.LEBC has named our Retail Catering team as a Gold Supporter, for going above and beyond to provide work experience placements. Colleagues offered opportunities for more than 80 students to experience front-of-house or behind-the-scenes roles from March to June this year
