TexansCap Nick Korte Seeing how quickly teams are regretting contract decisions these days I think everyone needs to maximize their flexibility. This is the best way to do it and you can always decline the option if you dont feel like prorating it when the time comes

I'm disappointed that Jaguars/Broncos didn't flexed into SNF for Week 16. It is possible that Fox could have protected it, but they also have a suddenly huge TB/CAR game that week, and we all know how much they want to make America's Cowboys Game Of The Week™ a continual thing.

The Ifeatu Melifonwu and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine snap count watch continues for the Dolphins' chances at a 2026 4th round comp pick. Both are stubbornly near the qualification bubble. As a reminder, only one can qualify as a compensatory free agent to get the pick.

It's gotten to a point where Miami could qualify for a net value 7th rounder, but it would likely miss the 32 pick limit. My guess is that given that Mike McDaniel is coaching for his job with no obvious future GM in place, that he really doesn't care about a compensatory pick.

My take on shortening the time for making 1st round picks: Good news: it can end quicker Potential bad news: if the pageantry isn't shortened as well, the clock could be even more picks ahead of what the viewers know.

Anyone who endured the Great Scab Officials Debacle Of 2012 will hope that a fair CBA for the officials will be secured well before games get played.

It's disappointing that Packers/Broncos is on at the same time and I won't be able to give my undivided attention to the Philip Rivers Comeback Tour, because I too am deeply curious as to what happens. But I'll keep the corner of my eye on it.
