Today I am thankful that crutches exist so I can get around my own house. Amazing to contrast my mobility in the last day with the 24 hours before it.

Off the crutches after an hour of scraping my calf and shin with metal massage tools. Those were some nasty muscle knots.

Great conversations on the Singletrack podcast about my 24 hour record at Desert Solstice, negative splitting, and my part in Aravaipa Running. Thanks Finn! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/nic…

Negative splitting in ultras is like 3 point shooting in the NBA. It’s been available for a long time, but no one went deep enough to see what could be done with it. Now, it’s going to change the game forever.

My first 100 miles was in 13:59, and my final 100 miles was in 13:45. For some perspective, Sorokin’s first 100 miles was in 12:14 and his final 100 miles was in 12:41. His slowdown was still over an hour faster than my speedup.

New podcast dropped with Rob from Training for Ultra on my Desert Solstice run. We went into a lot of the specifics of my race and how I worked through all the details. Give it a listen on your favorite podcast app! instagram.com/p/CXmSJ1lvRNu/…

Awesome new podcast out with Patrick Reagan and Mike Nadeau on Tortoise And The Hare. Pat is one of the few runners that approaches training and racing as analytically as me, it was fascinating to go back and forth! instagram.com/p/CbAno_9LY__/…

If you aren't vibe coding you are missing out. It reminds me of 90s era websites. I made a web game based on my favorite hobby, running around a track for 24 hours. …n-game-requirements-2prpou.vercel.app
