Oklahoma is eager for high-speed internet! Oklahoma Broadband Office received over 300 ARPA project proposals with a combined value that's almost 14 times greater than the amount of available program funding! This high demand speaks to the real internet needs in many Oklahoma communities.

Just finished a Broadband Commission mtg that required 142 separate motions and votes. The good news? The first round of Oklahoma broadband expansion projects have been approved.

We’ve got projects filling up the map! The State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund project map reveals the extensive reach this program will have in Oklahoma. For example, Choctaw County (shown below) will have its number of unserved locations cut in half!

Another project launched! This afternoon the office was invited by East Central Oklahoma Electric Cooperative to commemorate the launch of a broadband project in Creek County serving 250+ homes and businesses. We were grateful to be joined by Representatives Kyle Hilbert and Scott Fetgatter. Onward! 🛜

While addressing the crowd at last week's groundbreaking ceremony in Slick, Representative and Speaker-Designate Kyle Hilbert mentioned that the rural broadband project was a prime example of what the Legislature wanted to accomplish when it created the office.
