Great order by the DC Public Service Commission this week to deny WGL’s Pipes 3 plan and call for a new approach that saves DC residents money and aligns with our climate goals. Great to see thoughtful work by our commissioners.

“But how will I carry my discounted June mix-case special from Schneider's of Capitol Hill home?!?”

This is truly bizarre framing The Washington Post. The other “losers” in this piece on the DC budget are things the public or agencies won’t get, like a comprehensive public safety plan. Are we meant to feel bad for dangerous drivers? Why isn’t this a “winner” for everyone else?

Tonight someone decided to park their car on Watkins field, where kids and others were playing. DC Department of Public Works says they can’t enforce because this is “private property.” That doesn’t make sense, this is DC Parks & Recreation #WhereFunHappens public property and should absolutely be enforceable. Pretty frustrating DPW.

This morning we joined the The DC Sustainable Energy Utility and MANNA, Inc. at the East of the River Homebuyers Club with the DCBridgePark to talk about how new homeowners can get brand new appliances and HVAC through the Affordable Home Electrification Program. A great option for new homeowners. Department of Energy & Environment

I spent a fun morning with Scott Kratz installing a new A/C unit for a resident in Garfield Heights. Yesterday his apartment hit 99F. The DCBridgePark team got a new air conditioner to cool it down, and hopefully this is the first step toward electrifying the whole building.

Big day here at @chisholmdcps! We’re gathered for a renaming ceremony to kick off the first school year with our new name: Shirley Chisholm Elementary. A testament to the effort of the students, the parents, the school staff, and Charles Allen, and our principal Jasmine Brann, Ed.D.!
