Reading through some of the updates to the EU Digital Markets Act and...are ya'll ready for this? It is a lot. I'll borrow Benedict Evans thought that you can have "a policy that is good for competition but bad for privacy and bad for the product. You can never have all three."

I don't know about anyone else, but they didn't teach "how to draft M&A agreements to incorporate provisions related to an ongoing war" in law school. Interesting stuff this morning Grace Maral Burnett and @RobertKimDC

In my nightmares I end up in Sally Jenkins crosshairs and I hope that keeps me on the right path every now and then. In the mean time. I learn a lot from her column. Her dad must have been so proud of her. washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/03…

“America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It’s been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time.” We left at 10 PM and the conclusion of the third inning, but it was still a beautiful first opening day!

I wrote an analysis piece for Bloomberg Law that is up today about the new California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA). Before everyone pours dirt on the agency because their budget is small, take a look at how small European DPAss are approaching things. news.bloomberglaw.com/bloomberg-law-…

Very excited about the Philadelphia Marathon in a little over four weeks! I saw that there will be pace groups this year, have you announced the target times for those or will you ahead of the race? #runphilly

Good news: I now know where the Olympic marathon trials will take place, can start to plan travel, and logistics. Bad news is: I will need to shave a little under 60 minutes from my PR in order to qualify. #nohumanislimited cc Bradford Hardin we got this. usatf.org/news/2022/orla…

Last week was really hard Meta. But last night our privacy team walked passed a plaque that marks where The Face Book started. Perspective and reminder that every day we get to make the largest privacy program in the world better for 4 BILLION people. Amazing things are coming.

I am someone who can barely sleep because they are so excited about how LLMs might change the world in amazing ways. But I never bought the idea the people should be threatened that they would lose their jobs, especially white collar workers. This thread puts it in perspective.
