Today marks a significant day for me as it is the last day of my 30th year working in the NHS. I have seen the NHS change and evolve over that time, I have been involved in that in some small part, but ultimately I am part of a large dysfunctional family of 1.3m people, 1/3

all with a common aim of doing good stuff. I have been fortunate to have met, been taught by, mentored by and led by some amazing people in the NHS, but they all have a common aim, the patients. 2/3

It is impossible to thank everyone who helped me become the Paramedic, Manager, Leader, Informatician and Technologist that I am, but what I will say is that I am inspired by the NHS and what it achieves. 3/4
