This is an excellent, sensible presentation by Prof. John Gilliland of AHDB where he outlines his approach to data capture and analysis to achieve accurate and reliable benchmarking of individual farm carbon positions. Highly recommended viewing! youtube.com/watch?v=Eu__rH…

Biomass differences accounted for 50% of the soil differences, and while tillage was not a factor in these experiments, I think it is the other half in many situations. ➡️ minimize tillage.

Co-op joins Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Tesco, and Lidl to call on the Government to reconsider its inheritance tax on family farms. Almost every business, farming industry & campaign group & political party are against the family farm tax. It’s time for the government to axe it.

🇨🇳 China: has more emissions than the rest of the developed world combined. 🇬🇧 UK: the Climate Change Committee recommends that red meat consumption should be slashed by 25-30% by 2040 and the number of cattle and sheep should decrease by 27% to reduce emissions. 🤡🇬🇧

Absolute nonsense We are almost certainly experiencing a decline, and a significant one, because of declining real world budgets and increased trade pressure Find me one expert who agrees with this assessment, one 🤷🏼‍♂️ This is a disastrous government for nature

Farmers like me are ready to protect nature—but government silence is forcing us to destroy it. Years of conservation lost for lack of leadership. Steve Reed , act now before it’s too late. Open letter from Graham Denny to a Secretary of State eastangliabylines.co.uk/farming/open-l…
