Crazy sequence with Ryan Conmy (2023 6th) going between the legs on a pass for a chance denied by Slukynsky with a ridiculous pad save. Morneau (invite) scores a few moments later to make it 2-0 Team Black.

Jared Woolley (2024 6th Rd) scores off a rebound to make it 4-0 Team Black. Young defender showing a lot of poise in the scrimmage.

Kenny Connors (2022 4th Rd) gets Team White on the board off a nice feed from newly signed Jack Hughes (2022 2nd Rd). Hughes is showing out this week.

Team Black beats Team White 6-1 in the scrimmage to wrap up development camp. With that, we head into a two and half month summer break with no hockey until the Rookie Faceoff in September.

Kings needed an experienced backup goaltender and they got that in Anton Forsberg signing him to a 2x$2.25m deal. Can’t say I know much about Forsberg but he’s appeared in 190 career games and finished with a 2.2 GSAx in all situations last season, per MP. The extra year was

Joel Armia is a shrewd under the radar signing by Kings GM Ken Holland. Known as one of the best penalty kill specialists in the league (205 minutes shorthanded last year was 4th most in NHL), Armia is another great addition to LA’s bottom six at good value. Grade: B+

The decentralized format is fine. There are better ways to produce it that would make it more appealing for fans, but overall, this is a good idea.

For the second straight year, the Kings biggest free agent is a defensive defenseman with poor underlying numbers and virtually no offensive abilities. Cody Ceci signed a four-year deal with an AAV of $4.5 million. A contract that was mocked across the NHL landscape. While he
