Spring is in full swing the weather not fully might not be joining in yet, but we’re seeing beautiful changes in our trees & plants. Our team is hard at work, making sure we’re on top of our green game. Starting the week green and positive, ready for a productive season ahead!

We burnt some calories planting seedlings today! 🌱 At Nguni Nursery, 100% of our trees are grown in-house in Makhanda. With Nethouse 3 complete, we're filling it up with our own quality trees for sustainable projects. #NguniNursery #GrownInMakhanda #africantreegrowers

Deliveries going out this week! Proud to be one of the few black-owned nurseries in South Africa. Our trees are heading to their new homes. If the departments that are meant to be planting trees did their part, we’d create more rural jobs and have a more sustainable business!

This year’s been tough. The trees don’t show it, but winter was brutal. Our water storage isn’t holding, and it’s clear we need a proper reservoir to scale as we dream. We’ve paused 100L production to focus on 20s, 50s, and reforestation. Quality trees take time. #SupportLocal

Grown in Makhanda! 🌱 Sadly, 80% of our trees are bought outside the province, there’s little to no greening happening here. 😔 We stay patient and hopeful that this will change. Until then, we keep supplying other provinces! #LocalBusiness #IndigenousTrees #EasternCape

“There will come a time when only those who grow their own food will be able to eat.” I never thought that time would come so soon. With everything happening in the world, if we don’t equip ourselves with basic food growing skills now, we’re heading for serious trouble. #food

It’s a privilege to own an indigenous forest, and we’re expanding it by 70 hectares with One Tree Planted On #InternationalDayofForests, we highlight the urgent need to prioritise and fund locally owned nurseries in reforestation projects. True restoration starts at home! 🌱🌍

It’s Indigenous Tree Day! We’re celebrating Afrocarpus falcatus, “Umthi womKhoba” From seed to restoration sites, we’re growing indigenous trees. How we wish indigenous communities & businesses would be prioritised in tree supply #IndigenousTreeDay #IndigenousTreeDay

The green space across SADC is under pressure. Global economics are affecting everyone & horticulture feels it first. We’re often the first to be cut. Green Funding is also focusing on greener areas of the continent, tough times but we’re still still growing. #Resilience

The private sector and farming community have been strong pillars for our nursery since we fully established in Makhanda. Yesterday at the Hobson & Co Bonsmara Auction we filled a truck for an eco-hotel development in Addo. We 💚 growing.

Mzansi spring is here and the year has flipped to the green, colourful side. As the country plants and greens, we must ask: Where are the trees coming from? Are locally owned and operated green businesses benefiting? #ArborMonth #GreeningSouthAfrica #NguniNursery

Nguni Warriors yesterday’s green grind! Bagging trees. Creating jobs. Growing greener generations. This is what green jobs look like. When you buy our trees, you’re backing real hustle and real impact in Mzansi. 🇿🇦🌱 #NguniNursery #NguniWarriors #GreenJobs #YouthEmployment
