Today, GMB care workers at HC-One have launched their “Sick of SSP” campaign. 🤒 We’re calling on the company to improve sick pay rates - from £16 a day to £40 - in this year’s pay negotiations.

Proper sick pay would mean financial security for care workers when they’re unwell. It would also help to protect residents, colleagues and the NHS from the spread of viruses. 🦠

Today GMB National Care Committee met civil servants working on the Fair Pay Agreement Consultation. This was their first meeting of unionised workers in care & GMB and Unison activists came together to show how we work together to achieve a better standard of work, with workers at its heart.
