And we are off! Our first session of today International Conference on Composite Materials kicks off with Prof Milo Shaffer Imperial Aeronautics The Composites Centre Imperial presenting on behalf of Alexander Bismarck Institute of Materials Chemistry @univienna in session 5 of “Understanding and improving compression strength” UK Research and Innovation

Session 7 in our sessions here International Conference on Composite Materials has begun and it’s a very popular one with lots of attendees currently listening to a very interesting talk by Prof Russell Varley Deakin IFM Deakin University

Session 7 finished with a bang with Prof Philip Withers Henry Royce Institute showing some awesome in situ films of kink band formation at 20,000 frames a second

What a fantastic few days the team have all had International Conference on Composite Materials Today saw the final of our 8 sessions on compression which have been very popular & successful with fantastic insights from a huge range of amazing speakers from across the world. Tonight we are celebrating at the dinner🎉
