Graduating from NEW’s pre-apprenticeship program gives students the skills and support needed to thrive in the building and construction trades. NEW Graduate K. Brooks finished our program in 2019 and joined Construction & General Building Laborers’ Local 79 in 2021.

Huge shoutout to everyone who joined us on Saturday, August 3 for the second annual Tradeswomen BBQ! The event, which was hosted by NYC Tradeswomen Meetup and Union Tradeswomen Collective, featured tasty BBQ, line dancing, tug-of-war, raffles, and a wrench-throwing contest.
