We would like to thank the team from roadphone National Radio Bank from Bourne who fitted new radios to all of our vehicles & updated our radio handsets on Friday. Funds used for this update came from our Summer Raffle & we would like to thank all those who supported our raffle.

We had the pleasure of work with Newark and Sherwood District Council Sconce & Devon Park for stage 4 of the Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain - welcoming the bikes into Newark we had at high 18 medical staff on hand! Only minor injuries and life the team to deal with (1/3)

Ahead of Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain reaching Newark, we had our cycle unit checked over for free by ShimanoMTB with lots of other bikes & their owners who visited - we also had 4 members at Southwell as the race passed through the town (2/3)

We also worked closely with East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust to cover the area affected by the road closures, great to see many turn out to welcome Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain into the park after a days racing! Our cycle unit was also captured in action on the highlights program! (3/3)

Last Saturday we traveled to Sleaford for their classic car show for 2024. We also had a team at a very damp Southwell for their skate park opening, once the standing water had been cleared!

Sunday we had the pleasure of proving 4 members for the Battle of Britain parade in Newark. The parade marching from London Road car park round to the church for the service and ceremony in the market place

Sunday we had a team Newark Showground for the Curry’s GXO National Distribution centre fun day! From bouncy castles, fun fair attractions and live music, it was all going on! A chance for everyone to let their hair down and attend with family members!

Sunday, teams took to the water for the Children's Bereavement Centre & Beaumond House Hospice Care Dragon Boat Festival! Teams took part in different heats before the final! Accompanied with food, drink, entertainment, bouncy castles & games!

Sunday we also had an early start Newark Showground for the Auto Jumble! A wet start before the sun come along! A good turn out however with a very quiet day for our members on duty!

We attended the The Emergency Services Show on Wednesday - all the latest kit show with discussions take place with suppliers and potential new suppliers to improve our services. Great to have a look over BVS Group latest ambulance which we look to purchase in 2025

Last Monday, early start for the Runway Antiques event, buys and traders hustling in for a day of antiques! Even a big bird dropped by!

Just as it returned to our TVs n Saturday, our members covered the BrownhillsMotorhomes Strictly Weekend! Dancing under the lights for two evenings along with some food and drink and of course a motor home or two to look round!

Saturday we also had a team covering an event by the Yasmine McClory Foundation a celebration of the life of local girl aimed at raising awareness and funds for charities she supported.

Saturday & Sunday we were back at Newark Showground for 2 events - the Pike Anglers Club Convention and the Newark Kit Car Festival. Both events attracted good crowds on a nice warm sunny day.

On Thursday our volunteers provided first aid cover at @ Flintham and District Ploughing Match & Show one of the areas popular rural shows. A good range of equestrian events entertained throughout the day along with food, drink, trade stands & main ring attractions

Friday & yesterday was the Hamfest 2024 at Newark Showground, this is the radio amateurs annual show. Everything radio for those talking across the world.

On Saturday, a team of 12 traveled to Oxton for the Southwell Show & Ploughing Match! The main ring brought many attractions including the dancing diggers, horse rings, dog shows, food, drink, crafts, produce, machinery, many local business with trade stands

Sunday we had a team out at Retford for the Mini Cross Country League! Across the wet grass they went. A second team covered the Air Bridge Memorial Day at the Polish War Cemetery in Newark. Our logistics team also collected the unit from Southwell Show on Sunday!

We returned last week with our operational training, where Neil was presented with a prize for selling lots of raffle tickets! We also had a visit to Balderton Day Nursery with our vehicle & mini crew. With a team also covering the Patric Motor Spares show Newark Showground

Friday our team covered a schools Netball tournament at Barnby Road academy before heading off to Berry Hill for the first of 3 schools cross country running events there this year
