You can pour your heart and soul into the optics or try to grow the “brand,” but without a sound cultural foundation you have nothing, Organizations can’t fake culture, You can’t make it look a certain way, you either have it or you’re searching for it

Here’s to all the players out there going through a tough year and still working hard and trying to improve, Your character and resiliency will serve you well moving forward, Don’t let a tough year define who you are and never let anyone steal your passion and love for the game,
Compete level separates players, so many players these days believe their skill is enough, If they want to be successful at the next level they will have to take pride in hard work, being engaged and prepared to compete all over the ice, not when they only have the puck
Solid stay at home D aren’t as coveted as they once were, Ironically they become highly sought after or valuable when they are needed to shut players down at the end of games, Most people don’t notice their impact until they’re out of the lineup or not out there in key moments
These players should be in the line up every night. Skilled guys that don’t produce, should strive to acquire their compete level. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
What do you do if they don’t listen? What do you do if they don’t care? What do you do if they don’t buy in? Coaches deal with this all of the time, Disengagement is becoming more commonplace than ever, I applaud all of the coaches out there still trying to reach their players
A player’s resume should never dictate or determine the evaluation or tryout process, but in the era of advanced signings and predetermined team rosters "training camps" or "tryouts" are becoming a money maker rather than a legitimate and valid evaluator #MinorHockeyProblems
