Facts matter. The staggering “up to 29%” NHS pay rises, repeated here by BBC News (UK), are - of course - Department of Health and Social Care spin. They include annual incremental pay increases that staff would *already* be getting on the old pay scales. Isn’t journalism more than parroting a govt line?
